The 2018 Range Rover line came to market with new updates mirroring the completely refreshed Range Rover Sport. While some of the changes may be minor, Range Rover introduced the lineup with features that keep the most important things in mind; the driver and passengers.
One of the most significant updates is the addition of the Range Rover P400e hybrid model to the Range Rover family. The plug-in hybrid Range Rover is equipped with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that claims a 31-mile range when running on electric power. It boasts a 398 horsepower and will be available in the 2019 lineup.
Apart from the new hybrid model, the refreshed 2018 Range Rover models are currently available with a series of small changes for the exterior construction and styling. The rear of the vehicle now has more exhaust outlets that are integrated into the bumper.
With enhanced LED headlights and new patterns for the grilles, the Range Rover is keeping up with the demand for futuristic styling while keeping its signature body shape. The lower front grille is scaled down to make the bumper seem more like one large unit than separate parts.
The most notable changes are on the inside with thicker foam cushions built into the seats in all trims and the option to upgrade to a full suite of massage programs.
The Autobiography models now come standard with heated and cooled seat cushions for passengers and 24-way power adjustments up front. For backseat passengers, there is even heated armrests along with calf and footrests.
Just like the high-end Range Rover Velar and Range Rover Sport, the lineup now comes with a 10-inch dual touchscreen stack. The neat part about the touchscreens is that they can either work together or independently for navigation, entertainment and much more.
The tech options in the Range Rover are fully equipped for passengers to plug in all of their electronics. There are 17 power points built into the cabin including 12-volt power plugs, USB, HDMI and even standard household-type outlets.
Coupled with a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, the 2018 Range Rover has stepped up to the plate when it comes to work and play.
